In response to the increased demand for our underground mine engineering services, AMC Consultants is looking for a Mining Engineer to work in our Maidenhead (UK) office.

Who you will be working with and reporting to
You will be reporting to Mining Manager in Maidenhead, working within a team of consultants in Maidenhead and with a wide variety of industry specialists across our nine offices.
 
You will have to work with or manage multi-disciplinary teams either in the office or on-site.

 
Now a bit more information about the role
Specialist skills required:
  • Experience in underground mine planning and operations.
  • Experienced user of mining software, including Deswik, Datamine, Mine 2-4D, and Mineable Shape Optimizer (MSO).
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and report writing skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders including senior management, technical professionals and operational personnel.
  • Ability to establish new and maintain current client relationships.
  • Experience in feasibility studies and cost estimation regarded favourably.
Qualifications required:
  • A degree in mining engineering from a recognized university.
  • Five or more years of design and planning experience at underground mining operations.
  • Membership of an industry-recognized professional organization such as IOM3 or AusIMM.
  • Chartered Professional accreditation is regarded favourably.
  • Working knowledge of a second language is regarded favourably.
Salary
The salary package offered for this position will be commensurate with the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
