We welcome Andrew Harwood, Sonia Konopa, Simon Kusabs, Anna Lewin, and Peter Trout to the global AMC family.

Andrew is a geologist with more than 30 years’ industry experience. He has worked across various geological terrains, commodities types and geographical locations. Andrew has extensive technical and senior management experience with junior explorers and major producers in Australia and international locations including South West Pacific (PNG, Solomon Islands, New Caledonia), South East Asia (Indonesia, Philippines), and Africa (Ghana & Egypt). He is skilled in project and ore body evaluation, stakeholder & landholder relations, permit and lease management, and exploration program design and management. Andrew has the ability to manage small and large scale exploration and mine geology programs.
Principal Mining Engineer
Simon is a principal mining engineer with almost three decades of mining industry experience. His core skills are with mining studies (concept to feasibility), leading mine engineering and multidiscipline technical teams, financial evaluation/analysis, due diligence, mine planning and budgeting, and technical guidance and standards. Simon is also accomplished in the use of Deswik, Vulcan, Datamine, EPS, Ventsim, Xeras and the Microsoft suite. He has a 12-year history with Newmont Mining Corporation, having progressed through a number of technical roles of increasing seniority with his most recent role with the company being Director Underground Mining.

Anna is a principal geologist with more than 12 years of mineral industry experience in mining operations, mineral resource estimation, mine to mill reconciliation, auditing and due diligence across a range of ore deposit styles and geological environments. She has worked for and advised numerous mining operations in Australia and internationally. She can act as a Competent Person as defined by the JORC Code for reporting of base metals. Anna is an experienced Maptek Vulcan user as well as a practised user of Datamine, Snowden Supervisor and Leapfrog. She worked at AMC between 2008 and 2009, before moving on to roles at OZ Minerals Prominent Hill and more recently, MMG. Anna returns to the global AMC team, this time based in Singapore.
Sonia has more than 30 years international experience across the entire value chain of the mining industry and across a wide variety of commodities. She has acquired a high level of geological expertise through operational, corporate and leadership roles in exploration, project development, feasibility studies, mine operations, project management, and consulting. Her primary areas of technical expertise are resource estimation, exploration and mining project due diligence, resource project management, 3D geological modelling, and technical data collection protocols and management. Sonia rejoined AMC after having been part of the teams in the UK and Australia between 2008 and 2015, including a three year period as geology manager.
