AMC meets ANU Global Business Immersion Course participants in Moscow

“Not easy but I would definitely do it again!” were the words Mark Chesher, Technical Director of AMC Consultants’ (AMC) office in Moscow, used to close his presentation on the topic of doing business in Russia to the Australian National University (ANU) Global Business Immersion Course participants hosted by Austrade and DFAT in Moscow on 5 July 2019.

As one of the most successful Australian companies in the market, AMC was asked to participate to help develop strong business relations between the two countries. The presentation was very well-received by the students, who were keen to learn first-hand about how to best serve this promising region. They also appreciated the opportunity to discuss the Australian mining sector from the Russian and global perspectives.

Mark Chesher has lived in Moscow full time since 2018 when AMC opened what is its ninth global office. Prior to that, he spent the best part of the past decade growing AMC’s business in Russia. As a result, he knows a thing or two about this unique and exciting market and was glad to share his knowledge and experience with these future business professionals and academic staff.
