AMC at AME Roundup 2020

AMC Consultants is starting the year on a high note with AME Roundup, one of the biggest conferences of the year for our team in Vancouver. Hosted by AME, the conference will take place between 20 to 23 January 2020 at the Vancouver Convention Centre East under the sails of Canada Place.

Our team will exhibit at booth #1027 and, as a proud bronze sponsor, we look forward to bringing the Curling Bonspiel event for the third year in a row.  Mort Shannon, General Manager (Vancouver) and Principal Geologist, will be joined by his team in representing AMC at this important annual event. Mort Shannon

General Manager, Vancouver / Principal Geologist

Mort has more than 40 years of diverse geological experience in a variety of mining situations and geological environments. On the exploration side he has managed and contributed to grassroots and brownfields exploration around producing mines, as well as mine exploration replenishing Mineral Resources. He has worked on open pit and underground mine production geology and evaluation work, including Mineral Resource estimation and reporting. He has held chief geologist roles in two substantial producing gold mines, managing large staffs, providing services to operations and running significant exploration programmes. A period was also spent in a corporate head office role managing acquisitions, allocations and appraisals. Mort has extensive international experience through working in many different cultures around the world. Mort has co-authored numerous NI 43-101 and transaction related reports and has significant experience in auditing and reporting Mineral Resources.

Adrienne Ross

Geology Manager / Principal Geologist

Adrienne is a geologist with more than 23 years of exploration, research and corporate experience. She obtained her doctorate at the University of Western Australia for her thesis on the 6 million ounce Kanowna Belle Gold Deposit and was instrumental in further understanding the origin of the deposit. Adrienne has worked for both major and junior companies conducting and managing projects in Canada, Australia, Mexico, and Alaska. She possesses multi-commodity experience with an emphasis on high-level gold systems in Archaean terranes and slate belt gold in Proterozoic terranes.

Simeon Robinson

Senior Geologist

Simeon Robinson is a professional geoscientist with more than 16 years of diverse international experience which has included regional exploration, resource definition and mining. He has held both technical and management roles and has been involved in advancing several projects from the early exploration stage to resource definition. He has an extensive background in project management, including managing large field programs in isolated, logistically challenging locations. Simeon has experience in mineral resource estimation, NI 43-101 and the JORC code. He is a user of Datamine, Micromine, ArcMap, Mapinfo, Access, Datashed, GeoSpark, Microsoft Project, ioGAS, Gemcom and Vulcan.

Dinara Nussipakynova

Principal Geologist

Dinara is a principal geologist with more than 30 years of experience in mining. She has strong skills in Mineral Resource estimation and classification, database manipulation, statistical and geostatistical analysis, geological interpretation, 3D and block modelling, and grade estimation. Dinara is a Qualified Person for NI 43-101 technical reporting gold, lead, zinc, copper, and lithium resources. She has extensive knowledge of Mineral Resource classification standards and requirements in former Soviet Union countries. In addition, she has more than 20 years’ experience of advanced use of Datamine software.

Mo Molavi

Director / Mining Services Manager/ Principal Mining Engineer

Mo is an underground mining specialist with extensive experience in soft-rock mechanized mining. Mo has more than 30 years of experience in the mining industry, including 25 years in Canadian potash mining. He joined AMC’s Vancouver office in 2010 as principal mining engineer. His technical expertise include underground mine design and planning, mechanical excavation and haulage systems, shaft and hoisting systems, rock mechanics and ground control in soft-rock mining, and mine ventilation. He has managed large feasibility studies, de-bottlenecking and expansion projects.
