Mine Smarter in Russia: Current Resource Development Trends

In 2017, Mark Chesher, Technical Director – Russia, presented a lunch lecture on some of the most relevant issues for the resources industry in Russia. A great deal has happened over the past year in mining in general and Russia in particular. This June, Mark returns to London as part of AMC’s MineSmarter series to explore the trends in the last 12 months and to discuss the current climate in the Russian resources sector.

AMC Consultants’ office in the UK is proud to host this rare opportunity to hear from a Moscow-based expert in the Russian minerals industry in the heart of London.

Some of the trends discussed last year were:

  • The adoption of many of the resource and planning approaches used in the Western mining industry by Russian companies.
  • Investment trends by Western companies in Russia.
  • Russian companies venturing beyond their borders to other exploration hotspots such as Africa, Kazakhstan, and the Baltics.
  • Changes to reporting codes in some former Soviet Union countries and potential changes to Russian legislation.

This event is a must for capital companies interested in Russian projects and operators. Spots are strictly limited, so secure yours today!
