Ed Gleeson, Director and Technical Manager, AMC Consultants Singapore
Ed is Director and Technical Manager at AMC’s office in Singapore and is an expert in the design, operation, and evaluation of mining projects. He has an established track record in consulting, project management, business improvement, public reporting, and leading mining studies. Ed has spent nearly half of his more than 20-year career working in South-East Asia. He has designed, operated, and evaluated many mines throughout the region, and has worked with a range of commodities. Ed has an established track record in mining studies, due diligence, and ore reserve estimation. He is familiar with the public reporting requirements that relate to mineral resources, and mineral asset valuations inthe major mining jurisdictions. He is a chartered professional of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) and a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland.
Liam Twigger, Managing Director, PCF Capital Group
Liam has more than 25 years experience in the fields of investment banking and corporate finance. In 1995, he established Macquarie Bank’s Bullion and Commodities division in Perth and was promoted to Head of Macquarie Bank Limited in Western Australia. In 1997 Liam was recruited to head up Bankers Trust’s investment banking activities in Western Australia. Following the sale of Bankers Trust Australia Limited in 1999, Liam became a founding principal of PCF Capital Group. In addition to overseeing all PCF Capital businesses, Liam is also actively involved in the Corporate Advisory and Corporate Finance divisions.
Liam is also a Director of the Gold Corporation Board and Chairman of Football West Limited.
Mike Spreadborough, MD & CEO, Nusantara Resources Ltd
Mike is a mining engineer with more than twenty-five years’ experience in mining leadership at a senior operational and corporate executive level. He has extensive experience in the development and operation of mineral resources projects spanning a range of commodities including copper, gold, uranium, lead, zinc and iron ore.
Over the past 20 years, Mike has held senior executive roles with several mining companies including Chief Operating Officer of Sandfire Resources and Inova Resources Ltd (formerly Ivanhoe Australia), General Manager – Coastal Operations for Rio Tinto and General Manager – Mining for WMC and later Vice President – Mining for BHP Billiton at the world-class Olympic Dam mine in South Australia.
Dr Karlheinz Spitz, Director, Enviro Solutions & Consulting
Dr Karlheinz Spitz MBA is an environmental consultant of international repute with more than 20 years of working experience in Australasia, most of them in Indonesia. He is lead author of ‘A practical Guide to Groundwater and Solute Transport Modelling’ published in 1996, and the definitive textbook ‘Mining and the Environment – From Ore to Metal’ published in 2008.
His main interest is the environmental assessment of large resource development projects in developing countries. Dr. Spitz has worked on resource development projects since the early 1990s, covering oil & gas, a wide range of minerals, and a diverse spectrum of environmental and social settings.
Peter Allen, Marketing Manager, Gulf Manganese
Peter has more than 20 years’ experience in international trade, banking, export logistics and commodity marketing principally in the steel raw material supply sector. He is recognized for his entrepreneurial and negotiation skills combined with a clear focus on logistics and business optimization.
Peter has held senior executive positions, including: General Manager, Director and Managing Director of Marketing roles with various companies, including Consolidated Minerals, where he was responsible for worldwide sales of manganese and chrome ores with sales of approximately 4 Million tonnes generating revenues of approximately US$600 million. He was also responsible for managing vessel chartering, including handymax, panamax and mini cape size vessels.
Peter has a very large network worldwide particularly within Asia. He has been managing his own successful consulting business since 2014
